Theres an upcoming gun show in Edmonton and I was wondering how it works if I wanted to buy something, do I have to bring cash? And do they sell it to me right there and worry about transfering it later? What about if I bought a restricted?
 
Bring cash as all the transactions I've had & seen at Ont. gun shows are cash. With the restricted you'll have to pay first but the seller still keeps the firearm. You & seller then do the usual transfer with the CFC and then wait until the provincial CFO gives its 'blessing' after which time you make arrangements with the seller as to either pick it up or have him ship it to you.
 
Vancouver gun shows?

Figured this didn't need its own thread...

Does anyone know if Vancouver has gun shows, and if so, when/where/how do I find out more about them?

Check out the "Events and Gatherings" forum. They've put it in the CGN Community section. Also worth the drive is the Kamloops Gun Show in Spring. Western Canada's second largest.
