I am more than a little sick of waiting around for a court case to determine the legality of a 25 round magazine for the Ruger 10/22. I won't waste time here decrying the current state of affairs - we all know it's stupid beyond rational thought.

So, what I thought was, maybe I could permanently modify both my rifle and the magazines so that the magazine would not fit a Ruger Ranger. Problem is, I'm not a gun smith and I am not sure what to do to reach the goal without compromising function and ease of use.

Anyone got any ideas?

Maybe it wasn't a good idea to allow nonsense firearms legislation.
It's been in place for over 25 years now. We had a government that could have changed it - but chose not to. Everyone knew the 10/22 magazine issue was a ticking timebomb, and yet people kept poking the hornet's nest to see what would happen - figuring there we far too many 10/22 magazines out the for the RCMP to do anything about it. Well, surprise...
