Gun storage question

You can store it a container / safe or whatever you think will satisfy the minimum requirement, but the most important thing to keep in mind if the #### hits the fan is that your "container" better satisfy the judges opinion of "cannot be easily broken into".

Just had to quote myself because people constantly argue over symantics (cabinet/Container/safe etc).

All that matters at the end of the day is satisfying a judges opinion of "cannot be easily broken into".

Specificly para 22

Shawn

That's great! Thanks Shawn. I have just reopened this thread now and went directly to para 22:

"I find that the cabinets in which the defendant's prohibited firearms were stored fall
within the definition of a safe. Both of the lockers in which the prohibited firearms were stored
were made of steel. Each cabinet was securely locked: one by a key and a padlock; the other by
a locking system that uses a key to unbolt rods in the door from the frame of the unit. Indeed, despite their disagreement on other issues, the Crown and the defence expert both accepted that the units were securely locked. The Crown has not proven beyond a reasonable doubt that there
was non-compliance with the regulation. The charges are dismissed."

I can dump therefore the teachings of that full of BS instructor and keep my handguns nicely on the gun cabinet shelf, without stuffing them upfront in a container.
