Gun Things Your Wife Buys For You

Not sure what my wife buys me, but she gives out headaches for free!
Seriously, she gave me sh*t the last time I thinned the herd and sold my Venezuelan M98 so she at least appreciates my interests.

Mine buys me cammo and hunting / camping stuff . Doesn't want to get her PAL cause she doesn't want to kill animals . But laffs about when we move outta town we can grow some chickens and ducks and she,ll chop their heads off at harvest time ???? But when we move out of the city she says we gotta keep a 12 ga hidden by each entrance way ha ha and looks awesome in cammo anything

My wife doesn't purchase anything gun related. She tolerates them - that's about it. My kids, on the other hand, love going to the range with me!

At least you won that battle! I know a few unlucky guys who's wife and kids don't like guns. The odds are against you if your wife doesn't like guns because schools will brain wash your kids to think guns are bad and that they can be any gender the want.

Consider the economic argument. A rifle can be used to down a big Moose for example which is the equivalent of about 4 grand worth of store bought meat. Has further intrinsic value so an intangible premium should be added since it's prime quality and organic. Less the acquisition cost which is minimized by hunting efficiently and close by if you can. And quality rifles will appreciate in value over time. ;)

Now there's a "hobby" that makes hunting look cheap! You're both cursed and blessed.
O hell yea. I'm a farrier on the side of my 50hr a week job to pay for it lol. We both enjoy them and soon I'll have a great hunting horse (don't tell her) great way to see the mountains if you can find the time.

My wife is pretty indifferent about it. Guns scare her, and with 3 small kids in the house I haven't had a chance to take her shooting.

She has bought me a few guns though - and of course I mean I bought them for myself as my birthday present ect. With permission. Lol

Most rifles will hold value, but factor in inflation and they don't really go up in value (there are exceptions of course).

That said, compared to a new car, boat, atv, ect at least you don't loose money hand over fist. And don't get me started on shoes....

My wife has her PAL and Rpal. For my 50th last year she bought a Sti Trojan that I had been looking at for a while but could not justify the price. She has bought me reloading stuff. Mostly because she is running out of 9mm and needs me to make more.
She has her own set of guns. Pistol HK Sp09, Stoeger M3000 and a little Henry 22lr. I bought her the Henry, she bought the rest. She will come and shoot with the boys and me when she wants but not all the time. Every 2nd week we have "date night" at the local range. Then go out for dinner afterwards to the local Denny's (her choice).

I think I have it pretty good. Would not trade her for anything.

My wife and I are in our upper mid 20s. We make a very good living and though we are not rich (student debts, new mortgage) we spoil each other a bit. We've been together since our late teens, before we had educations and all I had to my name was an old rifle that my grandfather willed me, and her dad is avid hunter so she likes guns and camo. Although she doesn't participate much in the hobby, she encourages me with mine... She just bought me a gun safe as an early birthday present and is allowing me to use a closet exclusively for my guns. And that's beyond letting me take the whole basement with my "workshops" hah! As long as I keep her happy. But I guess that is the secret, happy wife happy life as they say. :)

Nothing unless I ask her to get something on the way home. She has her license but only goes out with me once in a blue moon =)

Most recently it was keymod rail section.

One year, she was looking for a small gift and didn't know what to get, but couldn't explain things well as to what I had or needed. LGS sold her a 50cal ammo can, god bless her heart.

Mumbles Marble Mouth: Am I understanding correctly that your wife got her Immigration and PAL done both within 7 months?

She doesn't have her PAL yet. She bought it though a friend of ours that picked it up and delivered it.

You should know though that you don't need to be a Canadian citizen in order to have a PAL in Canada and purchase firearms. Chinese international students come here and get a firearms license, buy and shoots guns for the 4 - 5 years they're here ,and then flog them for cheap when they return to China.

Wife will buy me something camouflage here and there and targets that's about it, doesn't like guns but will shoot clays if encouraged enough.
She kinda knows now not to try to buy me tools or the like ,kinda picky on quality.
