Gunbroker And IRUNGUNS News Update

I set up an account with Gunbroker.com

I explained that I’m in Canada and I would like to purchase and import through IRUNGUNS.

They told me that’s fine, but I can only purchase from sellers that say they will ship internationally. I can’t buy from sellers that say the won’t ship internationally.

All of the adds I looked at on Gunbroker say they don’t offer international shipping.

What gives ?

Even if they state that they don't ship internationally, contact the seller before bidding, when you explain that they will ship to Irunguns, then they will probably allow you to bid.

That's what i did and everything went fine.

But some seller on Gunbroker won't allow you to pay with a Canadian credit card, only a bank transfer, better ask before bidding.

Yeah, just message the seller direct and say “I am in Canada and I have an American FFL who imports. Are you cool with me buying XYZ”

9/10 they are cool with it. Sometimes they call you to chat, but it’s rare

1st import/export)$200 CAD import fee plus $25.00 CAD shipping from US to Canada (per firearm)
(Any additional import/export within a month period)$150 CAD import fee plus $25.00 CAD shipping (per firearm)

If I buy 2 rifles from the same seller, shipped in the same box.
Do I have to pay one import fee of 225$ or you charge for each?
Thanks

Many problems with buying from Gunbroker

First, lots a dealer don't want to deal with foreigner, they don't even care if you have an exporter.

Second, if you find one willing to deal with you, chances are they won't accept a payment with a Canadian credit card, you will have to send them a certified check in U.S. fund or you will need a US bank account.

.

This is great. I've been drooling over some of the choices available for sale on GB.

Any issues getting handgun imports approved lately?

Just purchased something from gunbroker , followed the instructions including tagging IRG as default FFL, however, final price still has tax included. I've emailed the seller and gunbroker so hopefully the taxes get adjusted. The seller is aware the item will be exported to Canada.

It won't get adjusted. I've been through this with gunbroker and irg saying opposite things. Over a period of months.
Most GB email just cut and paste the same reply. IRG says they shouldn't be charging and GB isn't responding to communication.
It's all a big bowl OfBS.
I just pay the taxes and take the hit. If I want it that bad.
Most times it works out buying GB over hereCDN as long as the exchange rate ia good.
Good luck with your enquiry.
Please let me know if you get through to anyone and get the issue resolved.
Cheers!

Thanks. I'm starting to find this out as the seller contacted me and told me they've been dealing with GB and they are not adjusting. That's unfortunate and IRG should really clarify with GB or open a location in Oregon where its a tax free state! However, I still went through with the purchase so item is on its way to IRG now. Thanks for the info.

So far so good on my first GunBroker purchase.
Won the auction, sent a US money order and the rifle was shipped to IRG shop. Now waiting for the export.
When does the next batch of US purchases get shipped to Canada? My bolt action was delivered in early December.

I think the cut-off is mid-month. If it was received before December 15th, then it's probably a few weeks out (end of Jan). If it was received after that, it will likely arrive nearer the end of February.
