Taking an advanced carbine course in your area is a good way to meet people interested in the sport. That is how we originally got our group started. Otherwise it's tough. Good luck in your search.

nice vids a little to much magpul art of wasting time carbine ( only a little) but good shooting what do your targets look like? and what are the specs on your rifle and pistol?
and as above get in touch with Phaselinegreen
thanks

There's a group already in your area called Abbotsford Tactical Shooters. They and Abbotsford fish and game are hosting an Advanced Carbine course by phase line green course next month. There is a thread you can check out in the Training Events and Courses forum.

Though, Advanced Carbine is not just about mag changes and "playing bullet hose at 7 yards" (goddamn I love LAV's quote). You will need to be vetted by Earl, as you need to demonstrate competency, and above all, safety for his advanced courses.

I've been in touch with earl on a few occasions. i would love to do his course but i might be out of town working when it takes place at the end of this month. I'm not interested in playing with Abby Tactical.

as for the mapgul #### in my vids? besides flipping a few mags ( i don't do that all the time ) and........??? i don't do much of that stuff although they can outshoot most of us I'm sure.

happy to share the videos. just looking for for a group of guys who want to shoot, focus on skills, have fun and go home without playing army. thanks

I certainly wouldn't take it as the videos weren't good, not at all.

I said a bit of magpul I also asked to see his targets and specs on his rifle that's all. I even said the vids were cool

oops sorry Jamie forget about that. targets are decent, sorry no pics of the targets. i only use standard sheets of paper as targets, as seen in the videos. groups are tight under 10 yards with rapid shooting. I'm zeroed for 75-100 yards. i hit a golf ball at 75 yards 4 out of 5 times, with quick shooting too and standing ( about 15secs for 5 shots ). i have video of that too. at 25-50 yards with trigger control and breathing i can hit toonie sized groups supported and hockey puck groups unsupported. standing as well.

BenL, post something, anything, proving you can shoot at all. ####ing challenge you smartass.

specs- its a CORE 15 basic carbine. 16 inch 556 1/7 carbine length. i pretty much started with a Trijicon ACOG reflex amber dot sight. shot it for about a month then added a Troy Alpha rail in 15 inch. added a ERGO grip and buttstock and a quick snakeskin paint job. couple months of shooting and i added a Griffin Armaments Tactical Compensator and Mod.3 charging handle from BCM. other then that, its all mil spec trigger, bcg and everything else. its been flawless with over 3000 rounds so far. but i always keep her clean and detail strip every range visit. i use Extreme Weapons Lube, very slick and cleans up really good.
