Found the most recent edition at Save On Foods on 109th Street here in Edmonchuck.

For once it's not the usual 1911/SKS/Luger/Lee Enfield reprints - there's a lot of very weird stuff in this one, including the Nepali Biro Gun, which looks like the most entertaining way to work through gobs of .577 ever invented.

At $9.00, it's a bit spendy, but interesting. Well worth picking up!

What's on the cover. I think this is one i picked up about 2 months ago. If not, off to the store I go.

I find the articles provide just information to allow one to be able to examine one with some authority if they run across one in their travels. If you are a serious collector of a particular type of fiream, no real info that you already didnt know about.

It is pretty vague information, as you say. Still, some interesting stuff.

The cover pic is the Gibbs '03 Springfield sniper repro.

Surplus Firearms is required reading in my throne room. I love that mag, I am learning about the various older guns and I find the articles interesting, including the shooting test, wish I could throw down $27,000 US for the Briai gun!!

$27,000 for the Bira gun is only the START. Keep in mind it is chambered for the 577-450 Martini Henry round.:eek::eek:

It's bad enough buying brass for the rifle but a MACHINE GUN??????

i been looking in all the stores and have been unable to find a copy in red deer so far
have the last 3 issues though its an awesome read

Think I picked up mine at Save On as well... I loved it - the only complaint I had is that it seems there were only about 2 or 3 writers - not a lot of diversity in viewpoints.
