Gunsmith for a Lee Enfield project?

I want to make a no4 into a 45-70, or maybe 45-90.

I would do the parkerizing, affixing a front sight, wood finishing, magazine fitting, feed lips, etc.

I will need somebody to thread, chamber ream, extractor cut and crown a barrel for me.

Any suggestions on who I should contact? Unless somebody has a beast such as this i could buy outright.

Try Herron Arms. They do great barrel work.

I was looking at seeing what other calibers are around the same size as the 303 British in case I got a stripped action I'd like to build one up

450marlin, 458x2"American, with 45-70 you will have to open up the front of the action and most likely switch to a single stack magazine. lots of work for your gunsmith.
458socom and 450bushmater might also be possible.

a much better choice is 444 marlin

Some of these conversions of Enfields, including Pattern 14's, required the base diameter of the .45/70 to be turned down for proper feeding.
