Anyone know a good gunsmith experienced with original Colt Navy cap & ball revolvers? I have one that has issues including frozen nipples and would appreciate a few suggestions.

BTW before anyone suggestions heat, cold etc. I have tried everything with the nipples and drilling if the only option.

Rusty Wood in BC is probably the most specialized gunsmith for cowboy action stuff. I don't know his experience with antiques though.

Gunco in Napean. (Jason Spencer)

He worked on the three revolvers shown below.

The Colt Navy came from the basement of an old tavern that was being demolished in Vaudreuil in October 2015. The gun was laying on a wood beam.

After soaking in Kroil, I used a deep 1/4" socket that fit over nipple and filed a slot to make a heavy duty nipple wrench. Then used a hammer impact with 1/4 inch adapter carefully.
