Gunsmith Near Halifax?

Hey Guys,

Anybody maritimers out there know of a good gunsmith near Halifax? I know there was a guy that used to work in the north end but he isn't there anymore. I would like to get my P14 tapped for a scope. Any help would be great!

You could try JD's, he is out Prospect way. He is okay with metalwork afaik.

An original P-14 (ie with ears) is not an easy candidate for a D+T. Many companies sported them by milling or grinding a radius on the rear receiver bridge, before tapping. This would be relatively expensive today, compared to the value of the rifle. I've had good luck with the S+K mount, which replaces the rear sight assy - no gunsmith required. They run about 80$, and can be ordered direct from the States.
