Gunsmith needed to cut down a 6.5" barrel to 4.25 on taurus judge

I would love to have a 4.5" taurus judge but they dont make them so I am looking to buy the only one available at 6.5 and have it cut down and have re-crowned. Any help would be appreciated.....thanks in advance

Not much of a revolver guy but the shape of the barrel makes it hard to chuck in the lathe I would think. Will be interesting to hear what other have to say.

It may be easier to cut the back of the barrel off and re thread it than cut the front sight off. Google Murray Charleton enterprises and give them a call they should be able to help

Check with Jason at Gunco in Ottawa. He has castrated a couple of barrels for me and one for a friend.
