Gunsmith Vancouver Island ???

Anyone know of any gunsmiths on Vancouver Island?

I have a couple rifles that need work,

Need help with a mauser action to be drilled and tapped for a weaver mount,

and a Mosin Nagant rifle that needs a side-mount attached.

Any help would be greatly appreciated!

John Pullen of Pullens gunstore is a good choice too - he's the go-to guy for many islanders. I've been going to him for 5 years now. Turn around on guns varies widely depending on the projects he has going.

Have heard great things about guntech too though, so you're set regardless.

Did you check with Gone Fishi'n? They have someone that can drill and tap a Mauser for Weaver bases. They can very likely do the work on the Moisin Nagant as well.

Sorry for the thread resurrection but:

There is also Vern Swarbrick of the Sillhouette Shop in Duncan, BC

And Norm Coughtry who also does excellent work who is closer to you near Nanaimo. Norm IIRC has lots of experience with Mauser actions.

Both do excellent work.
