Here's a good question. If one were interested in taking up the art of gunsmithing is there any one single program available or must one chase individual courses offered by various manufacturers and their reps? Suggestions would be gratefully appreciated.

Asked and answered many times. However, there are several U.S. schools. All very expensive with no guarantee of employment upon graduation. Smithies generally don't make much money either. The manufacter's courses are usually only open to police armourers.

Didn't someone here once write a long-winded article on gunsmithing?
Perhaps one of the mods for this forum should sticky it to the top.

Thanks for the links. And thanks for the article. One of the best I have read. I don't wish to do gunsmithing as a sole source of income but rather as part of the hobby as I am a tinkerer at heart, always looking to improve.

Thanks again.
