gunzilla or Hopps Elite

dammit I don't know if this thread helped or confused me even more lol. I only have one red rifle (just sold my SKS:() and then 4 pistols a Norc CQ and a shotgun. Would Gunzilla still be a better choice even though we aren't talking about rust?

Yes in my experience. It works for everything. This stuff eats gunpowder residue.

Gunzilla sold me to the point I'm selling it.. and I've sold enough of this by this point (and use it on ALL of my guns) and had so much good feedback that for me it's a no brainer. It's a great product.

It's not my product but I distribute it so I have no stake in it other than sales (no required long term stake).. that being said, if anyone that buys it is not 100% happy with it, return the unused portion and I'll refund their money and shipping.

I don't think I'll have to...

We've picked up a few major contracts distributing it to Police services across the country and security firms. Everyone that uses it loves it and sees the advantage of a product that not only cleans and protects but has been proven to increase the reliability of the weapon system it's used on. And for the price you can't go wrong. A little goes a long way.

Well you have my money so send me the ZILLA lol!

I was curious about gunzilla so I ordered some. Took my 597, which had been cleaned with G96 till it was spotless, and ran some gunzilla over the bolt. It came out black. Cleaned all my "clean" pistols and this stuff lifted out crap I did not even know was there. My 597 would get a ring around the crown, was always a bugger to clean with my other cleaning supplies. One squirt of gunzilla and it was dissolving the carbon before I could even grab my patch to clean it off. Spotless! I am quite impressed!

Same results here. Still love the smell of that G96! :p

sweet, makes me feel better about the $50 spent to clean dirt. Man this is an expensive hobby lmao

Well I have had my G96 and Break Free for almost 3 years and they still feel more than half full. Your Gunzilla should last a long time.

I hear you on the part about this being an expensive hobby. I can only imagine what kind of fun the millionaires in this hobby have. Could you imagine if price wasn't a concern?

I have a job that easilly pays the bills but I still read all the books like Armchair Millionaire, Rich Dad Poor Dad, etc hoping to get that inspiration to get to the millionaire status. Only problem is will I join the millionaire crowd before I am too old to enjoy it!

Only way Im going to be a millionaire is when I am dead and the wife cashes out the life insurance lol.

Trust me, compared to other mechanical hobbies {cars, boats, 4x4s and motorcycles etc} this is ridicously cheap!

Anyway I have no experience with Gunzilla but I'm amazed how well some of these newer natural based cleaning products work in general. We switched to a line of environmentally friendly machine parts cleaning products in our shop and found that not only were they a lot easier to be around but they made the just so much easier it was almost like cheating.

What took a lot of drudge effort before is now basically a spray on/hose off affair. If Gunzilla offers anywhere near that kind of improvement it would definately be worth the while.

Another +1 for Gunzilla.

It also dissolves Krylon and sorta smells like beer.

That's why my paint starting coming off! I wiped down the outside of a rifle that has Krylon paint on it with Gunzilla and some paint started peeling. I guess I'll stick to G96/Break Free for the Krylon stuff. :p

Gunzilla impresses me more and more as time goes on.

I've used Sweets, Butch's, Shooters Choice, Hoppes, Wipe Out and a couple of others. I just tried out a bottle of Gunzilla. It works well, until you come to a seriously fouled barrel. That is probably where Copperzilla comes in.

I like Wipe Out best of all of them. It works well on everything, other than lead. I still use Sweets and JB paste for the really tough jobs. If you're a rim fire afficionado or pistol shooter, Gunzilla, will meet all of your needs. If your are a bench rest shooter, you need something faster and more reliable.

Don't get me wrong, Gunzilla is a great product. When this bottle is empty, I will order another. It's great in a field situation. I can clean out a barrel (not the stock) with a patch and it doesn't effect first shot accuracy.

Well after using Gunzilla for a while, I have to say that Hopps Elite took off way more stuff way quicker. The one good thing is that its an all-in-one solution but I don't think I will be re-buying it...

I am a new convert to butchs bore shine

i just tried butches bore shine and holy crap does that stuff clean. it does however smell like death. But on the balance great stuff.
