H-414 Powder for 22-250

Reading in "Pet Loads", I see that H-414 is recomended as the best powder for the 22-250. I'm new to reloading and would like advice on this pwder or others that may be better.

Mine liked H380 better than both H414 and Varget. You can give it a try, though - it's all about what works for you.

I've never used 414 in 22-250, but it works great in my .250-3000 Savage, which is almost the same thing. It also works great in my 7mm WSM. Both cartridges get good velocity with less pressure than other powders I've tried.

My 22-250 worked real well with Win 748 and a 50gr sierra. What loading manual do you have? FS

It doesn't matter what bullet and powder combination you use, accuracy is the best quality of any rifle.

Powder for 22-250

WW 760 works very well in my 22-250. It dispenses nicely from the powder measure and the powder trickler and it is usually cheaper than some of the other brands.
