I recently picked up some really interesting older shotguns. One double barrel shotgun (12 gauge) made in Italy, one double barrel (12 gauge) and one single barrel (20 gauge I think) shotgun made in England all for the Hudson Bay Company. The double barrel made in England is an Imperial No. 4 while the single barrel is an Imperial No. 3.

Can anyone tell me where I can get some information on these? Any help is greatly appreciated.

The imperial series are made for the HBC in the 1800s. The ones you have are presumably percussion guns although I think cartridge versions may have been made in the early 1900s. Send me an email if you want a scan on the history of the imperial guns although be warned it is 17 or 18 pages long
