Hey guys I didn't see a post on it. Just curious what everyone thinks of the new H&K rimfires.

I was looking at the MP5 SD as I've always loved the look of the Mp5's. Pretty sweet looking to me.

Sure enough I find a true gem on the internet and Canadian gun laws are right there to save the world from these deadly 22 cal killing machines.

I feel safer already

I was hoping that a favourable ruling on the Henderson appeal would have released this and other rimfire replicas from prohib status, but they ran into a complete Lib diehard anti-gun judge on the appeal and lost. Now we have to raise more money and take it one more level and hope for a less biased judge that will rule on the facts, rather than his personal agenda.

If we win the next appeal, these guns will finally become available to us.

Sorry so there is a battle to enable this right now ? Sorry Mark I'm new to the forum and actually in the process of getting my non-restricted and restricted license (passed my test just waiting on the mail paper work). When you say we are you part of the NFA or some organization trying to appeal this ?

Mr. Henderson had his rifle re-classified to prohib as a variant and he fought it himself in court. He won a decision that the whole "variant" scheme is BS and that his rifle was not a variant of any sort. The crown appealed and won the BS decision I mentioned above. Mr. Henderson is now appealing to the next level of court (which I think is the last level available to this challenge). The legal fees have so far been paid by donations from CGN members.

If he wins at the next level it establishes some precedent that the variant scheme used by the RCMP to arbitrarily prohib many rimfire replicas is horse s**t and cannot be used. Once that is established, then other guns can be individually de-prohibited by challenging the prohibition order in court and citing the Henderson case as precedent. If he loses, we may be screwed on variants and the RCMP may run loose with their newfound power to arbitrarily prohibit guns.

Very cool thanks for the info!

I will definitely be putting some money towards that cause once I finally get all my paper work done. I've always thought the mp5 was a ###y gun and would love to own a 22 version like this just to go have fun with

I think its important for owners of rimfire "variant" type rifles to help out in the Henderson case.

Specifically SCAR, AR, and the MP5 rimfire "variant" owners are all under threat.
