H&k G36

G36 in Yuma Arizona proving ground. 24000 rounds fired, no lube, no cleaning, no malfunctions or parts breakage.
No rifle in the world can match that performance. As a battle rifle in poor field conditions there is no match.

Yes, an AR has not even come close from tests I have seen

I love the 36 but if was so good why are thr Germans exploring it's replacement, like their AR types? Why is it being rebranded as a civvie rifle?

The G36 always had a civilian version, just because they made a re design on the civilian version (243, 293) does not make it the military equivalent to a G36. The German government won't allow civilian sales of the military G36 or equivalent

G36's are much more accurate than they are given credit for. The Federal German Army rifle originally issued suffered from a poor low-priced optical system that was crap, that contributed to the reports of accuracy problems. (Funny made by Hensolt, one of the best optical manufactures in the world, even they can't make a good optic when handcuffed by a price point.) I've got G36's very hot and never saw a POI shift....after 150 rds on auto fire.

Side note to all you AR DI lovers.....when shooting non-toxic, dirty frang ammo...to the tune of several hundred rounds a day training....DI AR's plug up and stop functioning very quickly, usually around noon on the first day of a course.....G36, HK 416 and Swiss Arms chew through that dirty frang ammo without any issues and never quit functioning. Before someone starts posting on here about how their AR DI is the greatest most reliable gun ever please note the above statement...and discuss your training experiences with non-toxic frang ammo. This has been experienced by me several times on courses firing 2k per week. By the way I own DI AR's and love them, they are just not as reliable with all training ammo and under all brutal conditions as the HK G36 / 416 or Swiss Arms gas systems. If I want to win an accuracy trophy I still want to shoot a DI AR though.
