I was wondering what your guys thoughts are on the LEM triggers? I have heard that the DA/SA triggers on them really aren't that great, but that the LEM trigger is a lot better. Does anyone have any input on this? Also how are the triggers on the Sig P226?

Im really thinking of getting the HK P30 but I have heard that the DA SA trigger sucks, apparently the LEM trigger is a lot better though. Is there any other trigger jobs you can do that crisp it up or improve the trigger well? In my head I am fighting back and forth between the Sig or that, but I am big on the feel of triggers so this might be the deal breaker.
DA isn't "great"...but why do you HAVE to shoot DA? "Carry" it cocked and locked, thumb the hammer or rack the slide when your ready to shoot.

SA is just fine tho and you will "learn" it and get better over time. It is a...COMBAT pistol...not a bulleyes piece remember.

LEM is like a 5 lb. single action trigger that has a long and very light takeup....assuming it's a V1 LEM.
V2 LEM has a takeup with a bit more resistance to it.
Another way to explain it, is that the LEM is like the AS trigger on a P99 except it doesn't lock into single action past a certain point.

Personally I don't like the rolling break on the LEMs...if you like the idea of a really light DA revolver trigger you may not be bothered by it, but I think it's terrible and I have noticed that everyone I know who shoots one well has a round count of several thousand per month, and people who go away from their LEMs and go back seem to take longer to readjust to their LEMs than they do to Glock or even 226 triggers. I have yet to see anyone impress me with an LEM-equipped gun that had a remotely normal round count. Not to say it can't be done but I do not find them very shootable and in my experience, very few others do either.
I am not a big fan of DA/SA triggers but the SIG SRT is the best one I have ever felt. In some ways it's the polar opposite of the LEM: once you get past the first pull, it's totally designed for minimal reset distance and light, crisp break. The LEM is a long, soft break and a long, slow reset.

Have a few HKs with the LEM trigger...love them, and really not that different than regular DA/SA. Once you start shooting them, you quickly realise that it is in fact almost the same, except for the trigger take up after the first shot fired in DA. But when you are shooting, you will never have to worry about the light trigger take up before hammer break unless you are completely removing your finger from the trigger. Once you've fired the first round, all you need to do is allow the trigger to reset for the follow up shot. And that is exactly the same as any other DA/SA pistol...release pressure from your trigger finger, trigger moves forward, clicks, and is ready to go. That's it.
You really need to try it before you condemn it. The SRT trigger is amazing, yes, but in my opinion, so is the HK LEM. I have both, and love them both. Don't get intimidated by what others say about the LEM trigger, and how tough it is to shoot, and how you have to go through so much ammo to learn...it is the same as shooting any other pistol...get a good sight picture, control your breathing, steady your aim, and squeeze the trigger with good control...the gun will do exactly what you want it to do.
