H&k mp-7 in canada

A few have gotten up here. The Civie versions are semi-only and restricted, but they are very rare. Their ammo is also very rare as well.

H&K has a real problem with selling cool stuff to us commoners

i believe the price is $10000 +/- 1,2000 based on demand..
USP, G36 also fall into a similar category

don't get me started on mag prices....yuck...

I recall seeing an MP7 on here a couple years ago. It was $16000... unless I'm mistaking that with a G36. But yeah... personally I wouldn't get one. They're not worth that money, it's just cause they're crazy rare. Money better spent on anything else and a crap load of ammo.

Available? Yes. Worth it? no.

Tactical Imports IIRC got a whole bunch of newly manufactured BRS99's in with tons of mags, I would go in that direction long before even considering an MP7 (and I'm a guy that's done a USC to UMP conversion!)

ETA

I would even go for a B&T BT9 (Steyr TMP) those suckers are nice little compact PDW's, folding stock and foregrip, low top rail, rails etc...

I wouldn't bother. Getting ammunition would be difficult, good luck if you have a broken part.

Stick with firearms with common calibers, and those where parts are obtainable.

I'll be the guy saying if you got the scratch (and can find one) go for it. There is a guy who shoots at the Poco range that has one. A very cool firearm for sure. It always turns heads when it comes out to play. I can't afford it so I have the BB gun version of it (which is as cool as I can get :(). Don't let the nay sayers get you down (or we'd all be running Norinco's and nothing else).

Very cool gun, but purely a collectors items, for the cost of that PDW you are paying 10 times it's true worth.

that one thing i have noticed about H&K is they are priced almost to the moon!

The worst part is when you look at the department prices those things are sold for...

Think 1000 or less for a UMP, 1500 or less for a G36 (probably less without the optic-carry handle version), I'm sure the MP7 is probably around 1200 or so, of course the last time I heard anything about LE Agency prices was a good 5 or 6 years ago.

But it's the same reason the USA has the high prices for Machine-guns (Or full auto's) with the artificial cap. In Canada there are just handfulls of the UMP/G36/MP7's and because of that the prices reflect that.

I believe your referring to our CGN Nemo, he has an MP7.

I was talking to a department that bought 20 mp7s off of another agency for $1 apiece. The seller couldn't keep up with the cost of ammo (nearly $1/rd) as each member needed 2000rds to qualify on the weapon system.

I gladly offered them $100/gun....no dice :(

If I remember correctly, wasn't Questar working out a deal for some of these but it fell through. This had to have been about 3-4 years ago though.
