Are the MR223 and the MR308 restricted only because of barrel length or are they classed as"Variants"?

MR223 has the take down pins offset 3mm so it will not fit on a F/A lower (German Laws)
Hk416 fits on AR15/M16FOW lowers fine (well not Noveske who built his mag catch shelf to high)
Since I don't think Hk got the Hk417 right yet, I would not be running out to buy a MR308 anytime soon...
Sorry to jack this thread but why cant anyone bring in some HK G36s???
Whey are people here thinking this is going to be non-restricted?

You mean like this?: http ://www.wolverinesupplies.com/default.asp?Pg=9&do=3&mcid=1&scid=12&pid=836
Come on now. You can't value a g36 in straight dollars. It doesn't compute. One must compare it to M78 asking dollars. A g36 is roughly twice the gun as a m78. An M78 is about $4500(asking, I don't think they sell at that). So, a g36 is easily "worth" 9000 M78 asking dollars.Ya just like that one but not $9000 when its worth about $1500. I would pay $4000 for one but thats my limit for getting scammed![]()
How about a HK XM-8 ?

You could get an HK SL8 and convert it to look like a G36 for less money than buying the G36. By the way, you won't get scammed buying HK. You get what you pay for.
