H&K P-30 NOOB Questions

I,m in the market for an air pistol and was wondering if the H&K P-30 is worth the money($189),This would be my first Air gun so i would like to see if i'm wasting my money or not,It's barrel is rifled,does that make a difference? and what kind of range would it be effective to?I like the realistic look of it.Thanks for any replies.

Let me start off by saying I have not owned one of these pistols. It does seem like a lot of money to spend on a pistol to `see if you`re wasting your money`. A pistol that is rifled is more accurate with pellets. Providing you don`t shoot steel bb`s through it, it should be accurate for a long time. Steel bb`s will strip the rifling out of the barrel. It would only be good for 10m target shooting. A better/cheaper alternative would be a Crosman 2240. HTH.
