H+K SL8 over the Benelli MR1

I've read lots of reviews, watched a bunch of videos. From what I've learned;
1) the SL8 is more accurate,
2) they both run fairly clean and eat pretty much anything fed to them,
3) the MR1 is cheaper,
4) the MR1 has better mags
5) the SL8 has better ergonomics

Are my facts correct?
Is there anything else I should consider?

At this point I am leaning towards the H+K SL8 over the Benelli MR1.
 
I have had an MR1 it is a great rifle runs great clean and smoth

BUT a pain in the a** to take down and reassemble

I have an SL8 and is way smother cleaner and flawless function

It is easier to take down and clean and some what simpler

My vote is for the SL8
 
I had a chance to shoot a HK while i was in Germany and it is a great rifle but there not a big difference with it and the MR-1 in the precision, ergonomics are better, they are very close, the biggest step i founded was with the Swiss Arm Sig 550, it is really shinning on top of all for performances, ergonomics and all you can think ... JP.
 
The HK is more of a target rifle, the heavy barrel and adjustable thumb hole stock are definitely more geared towards target shooting. The MR1 is much lighter, almost more like a hiking/brush varmint gun, although I've heard it's capable of great accuracy you won't be able to get off too many quick follow up shots before the thin barrel heats up.

I would say for accuracy SL8 no questions, for mobility get the MR1

Quality of both are excellent, a big plus goes to the MR1 if you have a PG Benelli shotgun as the ergo's are almost identical. If you're looking at more of a tactical rifle, the SL8 is capable of it, but you'll end up sinking a LOT of money into it.

A lot, i made a test this spring, went trought 4 lar-15 mag (40 rounds ) with surplus ammo, then made a 10 shot group when the barrel was very hot and was still able to get a 1.5 inch group with no vertical string, these CRIO barrel are good... JP.

I have had sub .75" 100yd groups with my SL8 shooting 55gr Hornady Amax moly coated loaded with 24 gr. (or 23? i can't remember) of varget. It will shoot most groups sub 1". It shoots marginally better than 69gr SMK's which is loaded with 23 gr. (or 24? lol) of varget. One load is with 23 gr. of varg, the other is 24gr, I always have to look them up when I reload them because I forget which is which lol.

As far as SL8 or MR-1, I have never held or shot an MR-1 but I love my SL8. It is a heavy gun due to the heavy barrel but it is clean, reliable and accurate.
