H&K SLB 2000 in 300 WM

For reasons yet unclear to me, I have a line on one of these bad boys and am seriously considering taking the plunge.

I need the good, the bad, and to look past the fact that it is ugly.

I never heard a glowing review on them, or a harsh one. Everything I saw or read made them seem middle of the road. The action is similar-ish in style to the rem 74 family, easy to take down, do maintenance on etc.
Haenel bought the rights to them and makes them, so you can still get parts etc from them. The HKs were selling for 900, though I saw one yesterday for 1500 or something goofy like that.
