Hey all, has anyone used a H&K USP Custom Sport or Tactical with a pancake style holster. I currently shoot IPSC Production with the USP Custom Sport, but my holster would not appear to be suitable for IDPA which I would like to try.

The holster I use currently is a leather pouch type holster, but it is dropped and offset, which I believe rules it out for IDPA. I would like to minimize the expense.

I could use my Sig P226 or Para SSP, but both would require extra mags and even mag pounches, but I do have an Uncle Mike Ambi holster that works with either of those, but not with the USP Custom Sport due to high sights.

Thanx in advance

i would get a simple kydex holster just for the Custom Sport.

The only one that I know of is the Bladetech DOH holstrer which is dropped and offset, which than has the same problem as my current holster which is that it is not concealable as per IDPA rules. I am hoping there is a fairly cheap pancake holster that will hold it, if not I may have to invest in getting one made by the same guy who made my comp holster, which would be another $80.

Would it fit in a regular Uncle Mikes Kydex? My regular USP..has lots of room for the front site..can you test fit it?

Well the only company I can find that makes a holster for it is Bladetech. If I decide to do IDPA I will get Laroche Leathers to custom make me a pancake holster for it, like he did my competition holster. It will be cheaper, faster, and as good and probably better.

Musky, I do not think a regular USP holster would work as the adjustable sights on the Custom Sport/Tactical are too big.

I was looking for a simple universal pancake holster that would work with it, but I guess I am out of luck.

BladeTech advertises a kydex belt holster that is IDPA approved. It's the same one I use for IPSC with my Custom Sport. I bought it before they came out with the DOH.

the holster doesnt cover the rear sights...and there is enough room for the front sight to enter/exit the holster without hinderance.

Thanks I know about the Bladetech, but for less money I can get a pancake holster from Laroche Leathers that is custom made for the Custom Sport.

I have use a a bladetech for IPSC, and would use a bladetech for IDPA. adjustable for retention.
