I've got an older H&R Model 1900 with a good bore that I've been using with modern 2 3/4 shells for the past year. It's pretty much a Topper without the tapered chamber on the barrel, and with a much punier stock.
It seems to be working fine for me, but I thought I'd just check and see if other people had had them blow up in their faces with modern shells . . . I've never had a problem yet, but I'd rather know about issues now, than later.
