H&R say that their barrel replacement program is only available to US residents. Have any of you Canadians found a source for barrels, and if so, was a "fitting" required? Thanks
Have any of you Canadians found a source for barrels?
There are no retail sources for H&R barrels in Canada... before Big Green took over we had two smiths go and take the training at the old H&R factory to establish a barrel fitting program here in Canada... of course once Remlin took the reign's... there was no priority given to enlarge such a small piece of the industry into an even smaller market. The Gravelle Agency is handling all H&R warranty and parts... I know they had design's on establishing a barrel fitting program in Canuckistan, but thus far their plea's have fallen on deaf ears...
Your best bet for barrels is to watch the EE and other online sources... I have sold a couple dozen barrels on CGN and there have been others... often though, your best bet is to find a used gun and keep the barrel and then piece out the receiver and stock set... stock sets go for about $65-$75 shipped in as new condition.... SB2 receivers go for around $90 shipped... if you get the barrel for $140-$150 you are spot on for value. Keep your eyes open... also check gun auctions and gun shows, whole guns often go cheap, sometimes for $150-$200...
Gravelle Agency never replied to my numerous emails.
Call them... they pick-up the phone every time... 1 866-662-4869.
I ordered parts yesterday... friendly, helpful and efficient...
