They were selling as low as $260 when production ceased in 2013. I suppose if I really wanted one, I would pay that.Look a what some nut cakes are asking on the EE for a used one lol.Used ones are routinely listed here in the $500 range.

Lots of misfiring with the shotgun slug guns after the Rem takeover............rifles prone to breaking striker .......still love my 158 30-30..Taught my boys to shoot their first deer with that when they turned 12....Harold

I think I paid $285 a couple years ago for my new 35 Whelen Handi rifle when our dollar was stronger so that isn't a bad deal today for a new one considering they are now out of production.

I think handis go for maybe $500-600 here in single shot basic cals.
