H&R Slug Hunter Delux in 20g anyone know where to find one?

Have you considered an H&R ultra light slug hunter? I bought one last year and they were easy to find. Mine shoots 1 1/2" groups at 100 yards and is a very light gun to carry around.

Was looking at the latest Bass Pro flyer and I noticed something that's similar, a CVA break-action 20ga rifled slug gun. I guess it's the exact same action as their Wolf and Optima muzzies but with fully rifled shotgun barrel.
I already own a Wolf and I'm happy with it's simplicity and functionality. This particular gun is on special right now, Hunter Compact Slug gun, has synthetic furniture, 24" barrel and a pre-mounted base, $320.

If that's 320 CDN, sounds like a pretty good deal. CVA make a pretty darned good product.

Yes, definitely CDN, it's listed in their current store flyer. If you visit their .com site, select the Vaughn store (from Stores, at the top bar) and you can glance at their flyer with CDN prices, select any other US store and the prices are in US funds. And you are correct, they do make good guns for the money.

I just checked it out.not sure why it has a bead front sight.i am not 100 percent sure if it has a rifled barrel.

Call Basspro and ask. My guess it is rifled. 320 is a great price... I just called and they do not have it in stock but you can put in a rain check for that price.

Rifled barrel shotguns come with adjust6sights 99 percent of the time.a bead sight is not much good for rifled slug hunting .mist also cone drilled and tapped for a scope or other optic. This gun looks like a smooth bore shotgun.

I sighted in today my 870 12ga with a Hastings barrel .... that might be an alternative as well ... shots pretty good ...
The Hastings barrel likes Federal F127SS2 Power Shok Sabots.
