Like I said before, have you considered an H&R Ultra Light Slug Hunter in 20 gauge? They're a light gun, which is great for carrying, but the recoil is still less than any 12 gauge I have fired. Not sure what the price is these days, but nearly 2 years ago they were $229 new.

I believe they stopped making all of these slug guns last year?
