i have ordered a H&R Tamer 20 ga should be here any day. upon reading some of the other forum sites i have also ordered a full size synthetic stock from Choate to replace the shorter shell holder stock. today i came across the storearm forend from Choate as well. this comes with a spin nut for quick take down and has storage for a couple smaller things. just wondered if anyone has heard of any other mod/changes for these Tamers?

I'm going to try to post some before and after pics once all the pieces are here.

cheers

Hey tungngroove, is your tamer rifled? Does it come with sights? I just bought an Ultra Slug hunter in 20ga. I'll be sighting it in on Sat. I mounted an old red/green dot on it . I can't wait, but the thing weighs about 9 lb.s !!

help needed...i had ordered a "store arm" from Choate online, just found out today that they are unable to ship to Canada, really would like to know who sells these here in Canada....i can't find any suppliers up north.,,,,,,,thanks

I'm pretty sure its only the .410 Tamer that comes with a full choke. The 20ga is mod. I had a 20ga Tamer that I sold because it was mod choke and pretty much useless with shot but good with slugs. I have yet to find a 20ga in full. When I do Im snatching it up right away. Don't know if thats an issue for you or not but something to check when you get it.

On the H&R website it specs the 20 ga as being Mod choke. Was yours spraying shot too much? How bad was it? I wanted to buy it as a chicken gun so I don't need too tight of pattern.

Sorry for the hyjack. G

Yes, that's exactly the problem. Most of my grouse hunting is in thick bush with fairly long shots. The mod choke on the Tamer was too open for what I needed. I wish they were made to accept interchangeable chokes. That would make it perfect.
