H1000 at 77.99

Dynapoint 22lr ammunition was $70 at Cabela's in Calgary the other day when I was there. I'd expect everything to be going up a lot in the near future.

Just watched a YouTube video of a guy who went to a pretty large gun show in his area in the US. 1000 rounds of plinking 223 was $850US. 50 rounds of 9mm was between $50 and $75US. Wowzers

Looks like any Australian made powder is hit with a 6.5% duty at the wholesale level when it comes from USA into Canada. Powder pricing going to sky rocket in 2021

Hummason - Buy it in the 8 lb jugs. Then mix and match with other 8 lb jugs you need. I usually buy some 4895 or 4350. Buying 3 or preferably 4 jugs at a time works for me. I think my total for shipping was around $70 last time I purchased 3 jugs and a few 1 pounders of stuff I don't use as much.

I inquired about a 25 lb order and was told $110 for shipping to AB

Cabelas does have high prices. Jeez remember paying 24$ at Walmart a few years ago..

Cabela's is the cheapest I've seen in ages on everything else. Everywhere in northern BC is offensively priced. I'd say 15-20% over Alberta prices before the taxes.

I comment on the dynapoint pricing because I assume that's a new shipment with new prices reflective of the demand in the US. They also had xperts which I haven't seen since they switched them to the Copper plated 555. I assume this is trying to catch up to demand by cutting out the plating step. Those were $55 I think. Dynapoints used to be $40-50 so this is indicating a 50% price jump will be roughly the norm shortly I think.

Would never pay $77.99 for H-1000. I would suggest a substitute such as IMR 7977. Very close in burn rate and Bullseye has it for $52/lb. Shipping over $200 is free. Also a site sponsor. We should all take note of these places that gouge us now on components so if the prices drop in the future we can remember those that gouged and those who did not. JMO

I just had one shipped in early November to YYC. 3 x 8lb jugs/kegs - $55 shipping total. Could be I get a frequent flier discount; if so I don't know about it. Could be my destination shipping location is a hub city for the shipper and your isn't. Could be shipping is box size dependent and you ordered a bunch of individual 1lb containers that require extra care in packing and larger overall packaging. Danged if I know.
