Interesting observation with the slower burning powder and short barrel velocity. I'm just going to have to get off my ass and try some experiments with this powder. The lower price of the H335 just makes it a tempting proposition for loading such a hungry pig.I have done it with the lighter bullets, ie: 147 fmj's and had no problem, but it is a hot powder in this caliber. In my short barrel M14, I had best luck with H4895 for accuracy and velocities. Faster powder doesn't necessarily equal better velocities out of short barrels (contrary to urban legend). In fact, I have found slightly better results with powders in the slower end of the spectrum and bullets that are a little heavier such as the 165's and/or 168's.
