H4350 and 225gr barnes in a 338 win mag

Trying to find load data for H4350 in a 338 win mag and not IMR 4350, shooting 225gr Barnes TTSX. From what I can read, H4350 has a slightly faster burn rate than IMR4350.

Has anyone loaded any? Insight? Or have a better temp stable powder for the 225gr TTSX?

Go back to Barnes load site & look at 250 gr & figure it out. They list both

I would start at 61.5gr of H4350 and work your way up. I have never loaded the 225 TTSX in 338WM. I use 67.0gr of H4350 with a 250gr SPEER GS in my 338WM

I used IMR and Hodgdon 4350 with 225 TSXs in the 338 Win back when I still used them. 68 for the H and 69 for the IMR. 2850-2900 fps either way from a 26” barrel.

have never considered temp sensitivity in powders for hunting rounds

I'm soon going to work up a load with Vihtavuori N550 and 225 gr TSX's.

Ive had enough swings with things like the 280rem or 260 that I do care about temp sensitivity in all rounds now. 300fps is a lot of difference

Worst case extreme sensitivity is near 2 fps/deg , average is closer to 1 fps/deg
4350 is one of the lowest

AI Google search, or Lyman load data for the 225gr. bullet, might be a starter.
