I just got two pounds of H4350 from my local gun shop, I’m set for a bit, but it went up again, $94.99 was the price I paid!! Now waiting for them to get some primers and H4895!

What is the powder and primer situation in your neck of the wood?

I was able to get some Hybrid 100V locally for $67. I’m trying to find a combination my Savage Apex in .300 Win Mag likes, and my local pusher is getting me a couple of pounds of ProMag for the same price. Fingers crossed as thus far, it hasn’t liked any of the 180 grain combos I’ve tried with a few other suitable powders I have in stock.

Powder has slowly been coming so if it’s what your using buy it otherwise it’s quickly gone. Primers are available locally but can be ordered. Except for large rifle which can’t be found. Powder and primer prices are up. I was worried about powder for my Garands but found acouple of pounds so good for awhile. Basically the stores have orders in but have no idea when or what they get when a shipment comes in. Suppliers are sending what is available. A lot of people have had to change powders because their normal powder wasn’t available. Better than a year ago but not out of the shortage yet.

I mean I don’t mind paying $95/lb landed up here, if I find some at $75-80/lb but need to pay shipping it won’t be much of a saving if any lol

I live in Southern Alberta and the powder situation is very good, however no large rifle primers what-so-ever.

Powder seems to be hit and miss, and it has gone up a bit more but its also becoming more available.

We've been playing with shotgun reloads for the last 2 years with slugs and buck just to stay away from short supplies of other components.

Is that for shipping? Cause $35/lb for powder I’m not sure where you can find that now a day… maybe baby powder lol

$35 is the premium I pay locally. The savings add up fast, even with shipping cost. Of course, it is mid speed powder, not the slower stuff. Think 6.5CM and 308.

Not much in the way of primers or powder locally here in SK. Not sure what the bigger towns like Saskatoon or regina would have?

Selection is decent in Saskatoon. Some shops have some kinds and some shops have others. Cabela's is about the most expensive. Smaller shops are about around $80/lb for H4350, Cabela's is about $90/lb, one of the smaller shops has 8lb kegs for $600 right now which is equal to $75/lb

$75/lb isn't even bad considering that *official* inflation is now stacking 5% on top of last year's 9%. And we all know the official numbers are low due to overstated "substitution effect". Like for like inflation was easily double digits two years in a row. And there isn't anything much more "like for like" than gunpowder.
