H4350- Where to find??

If I only want a pound, I'll order in through a gun shop (not a big box store), and while it may be almost $10 a pound more than online, there is no shipping fees.

If you are looking to stock up Higginsons has the best prices on powder (most are $28/1 pound, $102/4lb), and will cover shipping on orders over 21lbs. My powder came in plastic bags in a cardboard box however, not in the cans. Just a heads up.

Higginson's has a lot of powder in stock, however as mentioned, it comes in plastic bags which are in turn placed in small cardboard boxes.

My local big box stores sell powder for exactly the same price (around $28 a pound) and I much prefer the plastic containers. I'd pay a few dollars more for than convenience as well.

An additional advantage of Higginson's/large orders is that the powder is from the same lot (don't have to recheck the safetly of the load as much - assuming that you recheck your loads that is when you purhase new powders).

You could always try to get a few local guys together on a powder buy from higginsons, it might make it worthwhile. I notice Budget Shooter Supply seems to have decent prices on powder too. Just don't know how the shipping costs would work out for powder through him.

I just take those card board boxes and empty them into left over powder containers and felt pen the new contents on the label. FS

I just paid $38 a pound for H4350 the other day at Epps:eek: I asked them why the higher price and they told me everything has gone up in price. I didn't think it should be that high, with our dollar being worth more than the US right now.

Powder prices are atrocious here! Things that really bug me are when we manufacture a powder here in Canada, ship it to the US for repackaging and then pay double for it once it arrives back here.
I can remember buying Hodgdon's surplus 4831 and 4895 for around $1.00/lb Mind you, the wages were considerably less then as well.) Eagleye.

Well I did find some, well someone found for me in Edmonton.

So I asked for 8lbs figuring they would give the 8lb keg price, no chance.

Still wasn't terrible $32 a pound. Here it would be $40 , if you could get it.

My last powder order from Higginson's came a couple weeks ago. It came in 6 8 pound factory jugs and one 4 pound cardboard box for another guy. The order before that was 6 8 pounders as well. It worked out to $25 a pound, no freight and only one tax.

It never hurts to ask if he has jugs, half of the time he pours it out of jugs and into the smaller boxes to fill orders as they are given. This last time they were trying to phone me to see if I wanted to change the order to get 8 pound jugs instead of 7 pound boxes, when they couldn't reach me they just went ahead and sent the jugs.
