Been out shooting lots the last few weeks before I get busy with work and my 270wsm is shooting lights out. I re scoped my favorite gun and sighted it and my first 300 yard group was all inside the 3" square with my hand loads. Forgot to get a picture because a big coyote was mousing In the opposite quarter and went after him but he seen me before I could get inside range. Took a quick snap shot of my gun before I started shooting.

My favorite rifle it's done a lot of killing in the last 4 years.

Nice rifle and scope combination for sure but not too keen on the combination grid road/rail bed backstop. :(

Buckbrush isn't an idiot, I assure you he wasn't shooting down a public road or railway. He also provided a picture of the rifle on his kitchen counter. Think he was shooting there aswell?

But it is reassuring to know the internet police are close by when needed.

Lol that road runs down the center of my quarter section. It was going to be rail bed for an oil translating station but we where unable to get the county to rezone tge land heavy industrial. Yes there is a rail line siding in the back ground but it privately owned by my family and when CN doesn't store grain cars on the line is vacant. Not that I needed to explain anything anyways lol just thought I would clear that up.

Not being the internet police but really take a look at the picture and does that look like a safe situation with a target up against the bank of a grid road? I am sure I am not the only one who looked at that picture and thought the same thing, I was just willing to post my thoughts........:ban: If what the OP says in his follow up is true and I have no reason to doubt his word then all is well and good isn't it? You ready to :bigHug: and make up now?
