Had to share - S&W 1911 Tactical Stainless

That's some fine shooting and very nice looking 1911! Congrats.

As for a range report...

Only had a hour with the new baby... enough time to get a sample of the break in period...

One box each of 230 grain Winchester white box and American Eagle FMJs - no issue, One box of Speer 185 grain gold dots - no issue (and a nice flash too!). Tried limp wristing, one handing and didn't have a single issue to cause me to question this baby! Ejection was positive and most cases landed pretty close to each other...

Fired the Federals as fast as I could get the front sight on the target and wound up with a nice 50 round group at 10 yards...

Happiness is a warm (and dirty) gun....

That looks good:D I am on the hunt for a 1911 now but was trying to get it in 9mm. Try find one with a rail on it:rolleyes: Wonder how yours will do at 25yards. Hope to see more post when you get a chance to go out again.

Holy.....It is by far one of the best looking gun that I 've seen this year.

I also like the looks of the S&W 1911s, do not give a damn one way or the other about the external extractor, and lastly the best looking pistol I have seen this year is my Dan Wesson CBOB! Regards, Richard:D

Never liked the look of bobtails myself. It looks as if the gun had a circumcision or something.

Smith's been building external extractor guns for 40 years, I've never had a problem with one. Nice looking pistol and obviously shoots nicely. I like the Smith 1911's - as a reformed revolver guy they're very appealing, then again so are the other Wesson's ;)
