Had to turn down my KSG....

Well, you might have been able to make a couple hundred. But there's time and always a risk. As you're now a father your ability to take on risks especially if it will leave you in a bad situation is a lot less. So you made the right decision!! Family first.

That being said this is CGN. So rather than just leave a fellow gun addict to wish for that KSG, I will instead suggest something else. For about $430 you can get a Hatsan MPA (escort, or Optima ) shotgun. Don't get me wrong I like the KSG but there are a few things about it I wasn't too fond off. I strongly prefer the semi auto MPA over the KSG and the price is a lot better. Check one out if you get the chance. I think you'll have more fun than with a KSG and it's a lot cheaper.

Congrats on the Baby boy , pretty soon he will be (hopefully ) an enthused shooter as well, you will have a huge income and will have to justify buying two of everything to mom so Jr. doesn't wind up getting a bunch of guns with shot out barrels when you pass away at a ripe old age. sucks about the KSG but you will have opportunity aplenty as he gets older.

Meh.
When my ol lady popped out my boy I told her to breast feed cause I needed more ammo! :p

I almost died when I saw the price of formula!!

Sounds like an all around positive to me, because:
1.) You've got a new kid! (Congrats!)
2.) You don't own a Kel-Tec.

Both of these are good things.

Ya man it's not to cheapy cheapy.... Just wait until you've got two of those little eating machines! And there's always my $2000 a month daycare bill... Hence the WTS ad....

Congrats to the OP, enjoy all the time you can get with your little guy nothing compares to it.

^ See this is why I posted this here, you guys are the s**t. Thanks for the support, the sting has worn off now that a little time has passed. & yes now that I'm looking at formula (damn it's more less $2 everytime I feed him a bottle! So I know you guys rowing the boat beside me feel my pain) and daycare bills fairly soon this is only going to get tougher to try and stay in the sport. So I'm trying to do some deals right now to split the cost on some PMC Xtac .223 so I can at least keep my AR's fed on the cheap with quality food. Problem is they are of fairly high quality and I don't want to run norc ammo through them, I know I'm going to have to part with at least one to keep up financially so I'm trying to preserve their condition as best I can. Now I know there are mixed reviews, mostly positive, about the Norc yellow box stuff but I just don't trust anything Chinese made.

Thanks danger! & again you guys are right the KSG's are starting to roll into retailers and they are available! Good to see.

Akronym,
Congrats on your newborn! As dangertree says it only gets better, I started my boy shooting when he was 5yrs old he is now 19 and leaving for RMC college in Quebec end of July. There will be other shotguns that come and go but the memories shooting with your boy are forever, just wait till you buy him his first .22

You've got to learn to find the beauty and fun in a sawed off Mossberg 500 with a pistol grip. Should set you back about $260. And also, in about 10 years or so you can say stuff like, "If you mow that lawn before I get back, I'll take you to the gun range."

Happy Father's Day to the new one!

Happy father's day! No material items in the world will ever replace your child. When you come home from a long day of work, exhausted, your KSG will not come running at you with the biggest smile on his face or give you the tightest and warmest hug. The KSG will not say "daddy I love you" out of nowhere, just when you need it. The KSG will not remind you just how simple life is when you focus on people that really matter around you.

You will get your KSG soon. It can wait.

Your boy is here, now, so enjoy fatherhood.
