Hahahaha..supprise...that aint a road..

Where do you put your elk in that ?
Looks like a sweet buggie

build something beyond your needs in the area you hunt. I got stuck once in muskeg and knew what I needed to build, no problems since.

tied to the bumper and dragged to the road and then on a trailer or quartered and in the back. Passenger seat works in a pinch too.

I sold it and am building a new one.

Lol..poor runner still goin...
add rear diff oil once a year..
Just turned 463000 km..
body is almost gone
i need another soon...
automatics are scarcely found.

it's a little different when you are comparing many tons of weight to a pickup unless the ground pressure is identical on both vehicles.

Working in the logging industry, I'm aware of the difference between a pickup and a tracked vehicle....working in the North where there is muskeg, its easy to see who has no idea of what it actually is......

I had a summer student 4 or 5 years ago drive MY pickup down a winter road (exactly 24 hours after we'd discussed what a winter road was) about 600 meters until the bumper finally sunk low enough to stop him after he'd put the go pedal to the floor in low range going down hill, trying to get to "dry ground".... This wasn't even true muskeg mind you, but when he stopped, it was sitting on the frame with the tires down at the limits of the suspension. When we got back to it 10 hours later, it had sunk to the door handles......

Thats the difference between "stuck" and "muskeg".

we were there on Saturday and that looked like my tracks he was following.

There were no fresh tracks in that line when i skipped past it on the way by lol
but then i also knew that one was more than i was interested in tangling with.

Have you seen and white tail deer in there this year ?

I stick mostly to 356
Was exploring older hunting grounds we frequented before moose were draw only

we went through with my lifted landcruiser- but never left any bumper, circled around to the north and came back at the Y
watched a couple of guys take a 2011-2013 gmc 3500 diesel (stock) through there before the snowcat smoothed it out. ripped the bottom plastic off the front bumper

Lol thats a rear 4 runner bumper cover for sure.
yea i followed you down the pipeline on the south side of the creek.
but not having a winch decided to not try the loop .
next fall i am gonna clear some of the windfall with my saw

anyone watch highway through hell? Some of those big rigs get buried pretty deep. I dont know exactly what episode. (It was recent as it was on my PVR). Had an 8x8 rear dually flat deck beast of a machine. It was awesome. They used it to pull out a massive load down in a ditch.

That wont go thru muskag...well it might..all the way to china lol

You know the guy that will drink and hunt ?
Sometimes block another by turning around in front of you..so they can be ahead..
This is one of them guys.

I stopped..looked and said to my kid ..lol
leave him there...

After driving away had better thoughts.
came and gave him a heads up that i would check on him at the end of my day.

Gave him and his buddy a ride to the pavement. .where his wife could find them

Poor bastards - and all the needed was one of these they would been driving their own truck home with a smile!

I don't go anywhere without mine nowadays, leaned my lesson well 8 years ago - Dodgy Durango stuck up to its chassis in snow and ice.

Wife and two young kids - took us 8 hours to get out, while others just drove on by in a rush to get to their hunting spot - never again!
