Hakim Shell Deflector Help

Hey guys/girls.

I purchased a Hakim the other week, and I'm enjoying it. It shoots well, no issues.

The only problem I am having, is the rubber shell deflector is gone. Understandable as it is an older gun. The problem is, that the ejected brass is being severely dented when it hits the bare metal on the charging handle.

Has anyone been able to find a replacement that works well to prevent the brass being deforemd? It's really kind of expensive to shoot this rifle if I can't do any reloads...

the hakim did not originally have a rubber bumper . its the Swedish a g42 that had it.

I went out and got a thick piece of rubber fuel line pipe from Cambodian Tire and slit it, slipped it on to the metal wire on the ejection side and then wrapped it in black electrical tape to keep it on and it works perfectly, softer even then the same set up on a Ljungman.
