Hey guys,

I just came across this video on youtube. It looks like an interesting product. I am a Glock owner myself and find this a very viable option as an upgrade. I do not know much about triggers and how the competition compares. What do you guys think?

He calls it a 'Carry trigger' rated at 4.5lbs. Supposedly it costs $160 USD and is made from Glock factory parts. Almost no creep like a 1911. :D

This is the LV or Gucci of the gun world... who really needs a $160 GLOCK trigger??? Do you really think this will make you shoot better?

This video was posted a couple weeks ago. While its an interesting set up and Im not discounting the fact that it would likely be somewhat of an improvement. Eliminating glock pre travel only really effects your first shot if you ride the reset. And 150 plus the taxes/shipping is a little steep for that. Alot has been said about the glock trigger and Im not trying to start an argument but it seems like too many people compare glock triggers to 1911's and DA/SA guns. Is the glock trigger ever going to be as good as a 1911 trigger? No. But the Glock trigger is consistant and predictable, and as long as you put in the time and do your part its easily manipulated for good accuracy and fast shooting.

While it is interesting and one would need to try it, I can't see how it would/could be better then ZEV Techs Fulcrum trigger kit for the glocks?

A good trigger or trigger job done right regardless of brand etc however is the key IMO to making a good gun that much better, handgun, AR etc...

It hasn't been blessed by Haley or Costa that's why. :D

order it to the states and bring it across yourself. No such thing as $100 limit anymore. I just brough $300 of good across today and was over for 20 minutes. I have a PO Box that I have all my stuff shipped and go there once a week to empty it.

Bringing firearms part in from the U.S. without a valid U.S. DOS Export certificate can land you in all sorts of trouble, up to and including jail. Doesn't matter if you do it regularly or that Canada Customs is OK with you bringing it in. Exporting controlled items from the U.S. without proper permits is illegal.

:slap:

BTW, good job admitting to committing a criminal offence on a public board known to be monitored by Law Enforcement.

Let's not forget that this trigger was made using all factory Glock parts.... and of course blessed by Haley. :p

I think this would be a great upgrade.

Why would you think that it would only affect the first shot? Do you remove your finger from the trigger every time you reset?

The video proves its effectiveness when shooting single shots or when firing rapidly.

Glock 23 - $700
Haley Skimmer factory trigger upgrade - $160
Defending yourself with factory trigger for legal purposes - Priceless

:D

Are you saying that bolting extra or aftermarket gear to your gun does nothing to improve the SHOOTERS' skill set? Say it aint so...

That's weird, I think SlimTim is simply finishing the statement made by Mebiuspower. With proper TRAINING and PRACTICE, the stock trigger is just fine. Weird....

Someone is going to have to import them. Even if someone did, it's over the $100 limit anyways. Importation is the only option.

So who's gonna step up?! Add me to the list! :D

wasn't the limit raised to 500$ recently? http://www.canadiangunnutz.com/forum/showthread.php?t=700726&highlight=500%24+limit there was an other thread somewhere as well

If you shoot the reset/ride the reset or whichever term you choose to call it then it would only effect your first shot. If you only release the trigger to the reset point there is no pretravel. Also, while it is made from Glock components there is a modification to the trigger bar. The trigger has a pin/stop placed in it to prevent the trigger from going all the way forward, and while Im no legal expert I can only assume that a modification that shortens the trigger stroke would be a focal point in court.

Wait.. So the reset point is the same as stock? Is this what you are saying? I know creep is shortened with this mod, but I am unsure if he mentioned reset or not.
