Halving A Propane Tank - Go Big or Go Home

I get maybe 1300-1400 lbs of lead melt from one 20lb propane bottle. Refill is $21 so it's not super expensive but refilling bottle;es is a pain.

It was indeed quite spectacular and I was surprised how far some of the lead flew.
I'd read about it before but in real life it's for sure different :)

1300-1400 lbs out of one tank is not bad. I might get myself a propane turkey fryer burner or something to process the real dirty lead at another location.
I have great neighbours and want to keep it that way..

It's like a shotgun blast when it goes off. I still have some lead stuck to the ceiling on my garage. :) It's worth the effort to make sure your lead is dry when you're doing a melt. But dropping water onto the surface of the lead doesn't do much at all.
