hammer extension for marlin, can't find one

I have a 1954 marlin 336 rc in 35 rem and can't find a hammer extension anywhere, uncle mike's 1957 to 82 won't fit, any ideas where to find one?

I'm never found the answer if one was ever made as 336's weren't D&T'd pre 56 I believe. I heard of people going th easier route and swapping the hammer out to a post-57 and just using the post-57 spur.
