Hammer Extension

I got one of those hammer extensions for a winnie 9422m rifles. And I can't remove it now because of the allen wrench type screw being worn. I need to remove it cause I can't #### the gun without putting the hammer down first(annoying). So is there anyway I can get the screw out, or a gunsmith could?

I usually hammer in a tight-fitting Torx bit, it should get you enough traction to get it out. Either that or drill the bolt out.

In a similar procedure, I have used a flat jewellers screwdriver jammed in and wrenched with a pair of vicegrips.

Got it!, I think i was using the wrong size bit. I found a random one that worked flawlessly. I think it might be the metric vs standard allen wrench sizes that screwed me up.
