Hammond Gamegetter/#1 buckshot ???

I'm thinking of getting one of these for my 7x57, It uses #1 buckshot BUT!! where can I get some just plain buckshot in small(50 or60) quantities??? Thanks JITC

When I first tested various sizes of buck shot in bottleneck cases I took apart some 12 ga. shot shells with the appropriate size... 5 or so of these should get you the small amount you want. After that you'll buy it by the "bag" because it works well in nearly all ctgs.

OK where can I buy a "bag" of #1 buck,preferably in Ontario,Thanks JITC

Well guess what? I found 2 boxes of 16ga.#1 buckshot and took them apart. I now have lots of #1 buck. Enough for the Gamegetter anyway. LOL JITC

when shooting that, you can buy four sizes of those ".22 cartridges". dont bother with the #1, #2 and up is where its at for plinking

Anyone that carries reloading suplies should be able to get a box of #1 buck for you Hornady sells it.Or get a Lee ball mold same size and cast what you need.I found the adapters a P in the A to fumble around with while hunting.It's easier to just carry cast loads with 4-5 gr of pistol powder for grouse..............Harold

There is a booth at the Ancaster gun show that sells buck shot. I do not have his information and the next show is on June 8. I will be north opening our camp on June 8 but someone else maybe able to get a address for you on CGN?.
