Hand or trimmer neck turning?

So I'm thinking of getting into neck turning. I don't have match chamber or anything yet. I just want to practice on my 243 and develop some skill until next year when I rebarrel to 6mmbr.

So which is preferred, turning by hand or with the attachment for a trimmer? I currently have older RCBS trimmer. I was also looking the K&M tools.
 
I use a forster tool, and have case holder drivers I use with a cordless drill. Quick and easy. The accepted practice is to set the cutter to clean up about 75% of the neck right down to the shoulder junction. I bought the KM tool for my 50 and it is an excellent piece of equipment.

I've read there are a few reasons to neck turn. Such as to uniform neck tension and better fit into a match chamber. I currently don't have a match chamber. I'm planning on doing a 75% clean up. I want to practice on my current setup before I rebarrel and start wrecking expensive Lapua brass.
 
I use the neck turning unit for Lyman's trimmers. It works well but it is a bit of a chore to set up.
I also have a RCBS die and neck reamer for my 243, I have only used it to try it on some old cases. It works well too, but you have to watch that you do not set back the shoulder as it does re-size the case.
If you are looking for accuracy I think that neck reaming is the way to go, the case is held on center by the die and then reamed.

Not sure where that idea came from but:
Neck turning is used to uniform the thickness of necks,,,,
only trimmer-mounted one I have used was RCBS, and it worked OK, but, as stated above, kind of a pain to set up.
I prefer a hand trimmer....Sinclair, Forster, etc.....
