Hand Primer Tool Suggestions

The coyotes around here all seem to carry calipers and scales, so I try to accomodate their needs and interests.

You think the equipment pissing contests on CGN are fun? You should see two coyotes get into it over their Mitutoyo vs. Cajun Tire/Power Fister calipers.

Waddya think all that howling was actually about, if not that? :)

I have two of the RCBS Universal Priming tools, and I have never had an issue with them. As well, no shell holder is required. I have two, so I can leave one set up for small primers, and one set up for large primers.

I use the RCBS and I like the concept, but like anything RCBS it suffers from being overbuilt to compensate for the severe lack of actual engineering.

It should be so simple to come up with a design that allows easy swapping of shellholders, and the benefit so obvious. Just think, you've got a tray full of large pistol primers and you want to do 50 .44 Mags and 50 .45 Colt. Just load 100 primers in and swap shellholders half way through, right?

Wrong. Swapping shellholders requires complete disassembly of the tool. Oh well, at least you don't need a set of wrenches to do so, unlike changing seating depths with one of their loading dies.
