Handgun Ammo Availability and Price 2022

The price of ammo is going sky high , and seems to be in short supply in some areas . If someone is a volume shooter , the options are either switch to 22 for practise , or start reloading if you can find the components.

A couple of friends bought pistols with the looming freeze. Looking around for them and I see 9mm which was $250 for a thousand on sale not many years ago go to $430 on sale …. Wow!

So, at the local Cabela’s/Bass Pro type shops, I never see 9mm when I walk through anymore, but I usually see a small amount of .40 cal and even occasionally .380 or .45. So, just wondering what people are shooting these days? Has anyone switched to a different caliber because of price or availability?

I bought and stacked my ammo when it was cheap. Don't really care about current prices.
Everyone in the US has been buying up ammo since Biden came into power. Hence the high prices. Covid hasn't helped either.
My cheap ammo app found Blazer Aluminum 9mm for $17.95/box.
