Handgun Ban confirmed

Last time I checked you can import parts from US without permit providing they are not frames/receivers or barrels based on US export controls. If anyone knows any different please don't me shy

Yes. The challenge now is finding US dealers willing to ship direct to Canada. Many that used to ship direct have stopped - even non-ITARs items like grips.

Distributors like Double Tap and Freedom Venture's can get stuff in if the brands they carry make what you need.

IRG is always an options. If you luck out, they may carry what you need. They can always import other stuff for a fee.

With the Handgun Ban confirmed, are you gonna shoot less your handgun, since if it breaks you cannot buy a new one and the average repair time if you are lucky can take 6-24 months

Parts can certainly be had. Unless you have some cheap Turkish or Chinese junk, I wouldn’t be concerned about breaking it.

BTW, what handgun “ban” are talking about? It is a handgun “freeze” not a ban. If they were banned they would have to remain either locked up in safe and legally prohibited from taking out and shooting…kinda like the “assault style rifles”. These rifles are sooo dangerous that they were banned by oic in 2020 yet still remain in my possession until, at least the beginning of 2026! If they were so dangerous, you’d think they’d confiscate them asap. It’s about politics not public safety.
